Three-day tour of RCPTA – 15th ,16th ,17th September 2023

Ocean Front Condos apartment complex in Nilaveli was selected on the recommendation of Commodore Prasanna Alahakoon for the group to stay for three days. read more

29th July 2019 early morning at 5.30am the members and some family members and their friends left the Royal College gates for a three day tour to Ella, Demodara and Passikuda. No one other than H. The annual meeting of students who excelled at the grade 5 scholarship examination and gained admission to Royal College with accommodation at the Royal College hostel, and their parents, took place at the Royal College hostel on the 24th March 2019. Issue Of Senior Citizens’ Identity Card 24th February 2019

Issue of Senior Citizens’ Identity Cards took place from 8.00am on the same day as the Medical Camp on 24th February at the skills center office. We are grateful to Mr. Wijedasa Kariyawasam for coordinating with the National Elders’ Secretariat and 91 elders Identity cards were issued that day to the members of the RCPTA. Asst. Royal College Doctors'Association Conducted The Medical Camp -2019

Royal college Doctors'Association conducted the Medical Camp -2019 for the present and past teachers of Royal College and for their family members on 24th February 2019. Every participant was registered on line with their medical standard. All the medical tests were done on the spot and the reports were issued within several minutes. After general screening everybody was guided to the relevant sections such as cardiology , Angiology, gastroenterology , Dental, Respiratory medicine Nephrology , Endocrinology, Neorology, Gynecology, etc. After the medical check up free medicines were issued to everybody. read more

24th Annual General Meeting Of The RCPTA – 25th November 2018

The 24th Annual General Meeting of the Royal College Past Teachers’ Association was held on the 25th of November 2018 at 9.30 a.m. at River Face Hotel, Nawala. A welcome snack with a drink was provided for the members. The meeting commenced with two-minute silence for the departed members of the RCPTA. The President, Capt. M.N. Dharmarathne chaired the meeting. The items on the agenda were taken up next. After reading of the convening of the meeting, the minutes of the previous annual general meeting was adopted. One Day Tour Of RCPTA – 5th August 2018

The one day tour of the RCPTA for 2018 was held on the 5th of August. 183 members participated in the event. This was held at the Winsgreat Holiday Home in Wethera which is owned by our very own Royalist Mr. Arjuna Abeysinghe of the ’95 group. It is a very comfortable, homely bungalow in a coconut estate. Our members arrived there in four buses at 8.30am. Some arrived directly at the venue. Everything was arranged for us by Arjuna who gave his bungalow free of charge. The rest of the event was totally sponsored by 10 old Royalists headed by Prasanna Wanigasekara who was always there for us for the last five years during the one day tour.
