The first committee meeting of the 2019/2020 executive committee was held on the 14th Saturday in December 2019 chaired by the President Mr. M.H.M.Farouk. At this meeting Mrs. S. N. Ameresekere Chairman of the subcommittee appointed to handle the fund raiser show mentioned that the profits from the show amounted to Rs. 4,200,000/- and should be utilized specially for seriously sick members as soon as possible. A donation of Rs. 1.5 million was also donated by the ’91 group of old Royalists at the President’s dinner held at the former general secretary Mrs. Srimathi Weerasuriya’s residence in December 2019. The 91’group led by Mr. Hiran Wimalaratne were keen that the money be utilized for seriously medical issues of our members. Hence Mr. H.M.Dayaratne who coordinated the donation suggested that Rs. 500,000/-from this should be set aside for that. Accordingly the following received financial help from this fund.
