The annual Sil Campaign of the RCPTA was held on the 27th of July 2023 at the Asokaramaya Temple in Thimbirigasyaya. Mrs. Srimathi Weerasuriya and Mrs. Ramya Dharmawardana was the coordinators of the project. 16 of our members observed sil on that day and there were 20 members of RCPTA attending to those who observed sil on that day. Mr. H.G.P Dharmadasa was able to introduce a donor who readily offered the dana for those who observed sil and to those who were helping. Along with the other priests, the final sermon was given by our own RCPTA member, Ven. Thummbowila Dhammarathana Thero. After successfully completing the Sil Campaign, a Bodhi Pooja was held to invoke blessings on the wife of Mr. Prasanna Wanigasekara who has been working tirelessly over the years to make our one day tour a complete success.
