PRAVEENA PRATHIBHA UPAHARA 2026
A Felicitation Programme for Senior Past Teachers of Royal College.
Executive Committee of R.C.P.T.A. has unanimously resolved to organize Praveena Prathibha
Upahara, a special felicitation programme to honour the past teachers of Royal College who are
85 years of age and above, in recognition of their invaluable service and lifelong dedication to
the College.
The Association proposes to invite these distinguished teachers to the Annual General Meeting,
which is scheduled to be held on 20 December 2026. On this occasion, each honoree will be
presented with a commemorative gift valued at Rs. 25,000 as a token of the Association's
gratitude and appreciation.
As there are approximately 50 eligible past teachers, the estimated cost of this project is Rs. 2
million.
The Executive Committee intends to raise the required funds with the generous support of Royal
College Old Boys' Groups in Sri Lanka and overseas.
Mr. Dayarathne and Mr. Amaradasa have been appointed as the Chief Coordinators of this
project and will oversee the planning and implementation of the programme
