Fund Raising Project for 2026
The primary objective of this project is to raise funds to strengthen the Medical Assistance Programme of RCPTA, through which we support our members in their medical needs by:
- Providing a 40% concession on the purchase of medicines, up to Rs. 4,000/-;
- Providing financial assistance to members who are critically ill.
At present, RCPTA spends more than Rs. 1.5 million annually to provide these medical benefits. As the number of members requiring assistance continues to increase, our expenditure is also likely to rise.
This year, we anticipate that approximately Rs. 1.8 million will be required to meet these expenses.
As teachers and former teachers of Royal College, we naturally wish to maintain our dignity and self-respect rather than continually seeking financial assistance from our Old Boys. The Raffle Draw provides us with an opportunity to raise the necessary funds through our own collective effort.
At the same time, those who purchase our tickets have the opportunity to win valuable prizes.
Thus, this is not merely a fundraising project—it is a way for us, as members of the Royal College community, to support one another while maintaining our dignity and independence.
