Alms Giving 2026
The annual Alms Giving of the RCPTA was held on the 20 th June 2026 at the
Asokaramaya Temple, Thimbirigasyaya.The coordinators of the project Mrs, Srimathi
Weerasuriya, Mrs. Renuka Illankathillake & Sepali Rathnayake did a wonderful job
organizing it. About two months prior to the alms giving all items were allocated to
members who were willing to bring cooked items as well as dry rations.
Initially merits were bestowed by the Priests on those departed members followed by
merits on the present members. Sermons were delivered by a number priests and they
were very pleased with the way the Alms Giving was organized. Mr Ranjith Senanayake
offered the main pirikara while other pirikara were given by the contributions from
members. May the merits gained be bestowed on all the members of the RCPTA
.
